RLTC Club Tournament July 2003

Once again the tournament was blessed with nice weather although the wind picked up making things tricky. On his third attempt Shahin won the Mens Singles beating Christian in three close sets. Shahin then teamed up with Mik to win their third doubles in a row against Ed and Andy who had their chances but went down in straight sets. Vanessa also had a good day winning the singles against Debbie and teamed up with Lisette to win the doubles in a close three sets against June and Debbie.

Colin and Jason are proving a formidable team winning the Mens Vets for the second year against Crispin and Hugh. Vanessa was going for a hat trick in the mixed but Andy Moffat and June went one better than last year and won in three sets. As the sun was setting Ross beat Milly to win the juniors.

Once again thanks to Andy Jenkins for organising the tournament and thanks to the umpires, lines judges and whoever was bringing out the jugs of pimms.
